Me In My Place Android ‘app’ doesn’t do a women probity (or a photographer, either)

For distant some-more than a year now, a semi-secretive array has graced a pixels of a Tumblr blog as good as a pages of Esquire magazine. Dubbed “Me in My Place,” a array was shot by “a important photographer, who has shot portraits of many important people,” pronounced Esquire. The male behind a camera wasn’t a point, after all. (He’s given been unmasked, though we’re going to make we work for it, too.) It was a subjects — a several girls subsequent door, Manhattan (and after L.A.) character — who finished a array during hit. The tab line: “Real girls in their possess place. Not too crazy and only a splash of naughty…”
Yes, a portraits are what they are — substantially not-safe-for-work photos of “real” women in their homes, gentle in several stages of undress. The pics are voluptuous and a bit raw, and that’s a appeal. Not too crazy and only a splash of naughty.
Esquire repository got involved, a peculiar singer finished coming and things, erm, took off from there. An app was promised. And now, an app has arrived.

Well, arrange of. A web app. A $10 web app. A $10 web app that during a best gives what we can mostly get on a Tumblr site, and during a misfortune does so feeble becaues of shade orientations and varying resolutions. And that’s a shame, since we wish to compensate for disdainful content. We wish to conclude excellent photography (and, yes, appealing women) and support a people who emanate it. And in an ecosystem such as a Android Market, that can be a festering cesspoll of terrible “sexy lady” apps, we’d adore to see an app with a small some-more category — both in pattern as good as theme matter — succeed.
But in a box of Me in My Place, we’re left wanting. Oh, a photography is top-notch. The women, pleasing and during ease. But a web app. Oh, anguish is a web app. Paying and induction was elementary enough. Then we pointer in and are greeted by a index we see above, followed by thumbnails. From there, things take a wrong turn.

Images demeanour excellent in landscape, and that’d be OK solely that many of them are shot in portrait. So, we stagger a phone.

Whoops. For what it’s worth, a shade shots we see here are 480×800. Got to a higher-resolution phone like a Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy Note, and things get even worse.
The good news is that since this is a web app — OK, unequivocally it’s only a website we have to compensate to record into — things can be bound sincerely easily. But that doesn’t make it any reduction disappointing. And it unequivocally creates us prolonged for something like Google Currents with in-app subscriptions. (Who wants to gamble we’ll see those eventually?) Blogs like 500px demeanour pleasing in Currents. What we have here is with MIMP is a good thing finished badly. Me in My Place is quality. The women are gorgeous. And they merit better.
