search engine innovation - next phase for search engines

While taking a smoke break, I was just thinking what is really missing with the search engines (definitely not underestimating the current search engines – Google is just great, I can’t even now think of living with it) and a very quick answer that I came up with was that the search engines now search for content / keywords on a very macro level through the resultant websites (maybe that’s what the idea of a search engine is), but is the idea efficient enough? Is that how people want the information or results to be?

A little half baked concept that I’d like to share below (information below is totally incomplete and maybe not easily understandable, I’ll soon update and put some sense to it) -

Search basic keyword / industry / category + Supporting words = most known category / industry searched phrase results

Thoughts – search type or expected result type – company information, content information, etc

1- search for the above custom built phrase
2- search from the most searched phrases for that category
3- search random (beta) – why this should be beta is because this should be built over time, as people search for keywords and our smart system logics with them and keeps building a criteria based dictionary

blog pause, nothing just blogging, seeing the blog readers soon, sleepless, under-rewarded, blog etc

Guys – I’ve totally been on a Blog Pause! Don’t know where that word comes to my mind from right now – after being up sleeplessly on the go for the last couple months, feeling overworked and under-rewarded. Why i say under-rewarded is because i don’t get an official salary as I run my own small little IT firm.

Off the post, just wanted to share the very little few who passed by my website to download the few files I’ve hosted – what i wanted to say was, ‘I’m re-aligning myself to be writing again’ and maybe, to the point this time.

Just bottling myself with many mobile ideas, that fizzle out every morning i get up and see my schedule of things to be done for the day!

See you guys soon!

Multiple Windows in native Nokia Browser

This trick is for all Symbian phones to now have multiple windows open very easily. I think, i picked up the file from somewhere (don’t remember where from right now) and customized it to look better.

All you need to do is set the HTML file as your home page in you rbrowser and there you’ll see search option on Google, Website address input option and a button to open a new window / tab right from your home page.

Pretty handy, i’ve been using it for a while and trust me it really saves you from the effort!

For convenience, files uploaded as; HTML, ZIP and RAR.

Happy using and credits to the author.

Edited – 31st July 2009

I’ve upgraded the version of the file to look and work better – something more welcoming as the bookmarked page. This file can be downloaded by clicking here.
